Help

Last updated: 10 April 2026

If you need help with talat, email us at hello@talat.app and we'll get back to you as quickly as we can.

System requirements

talat requires macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later on Apple Silicon, or Windows 10 or later. On macOS, it uses the Neural Engine for on-device transcription (which is why Intel Macs aren't supported). On Windows, it uses hardware acceleration where available.

Getting started

When you download talat, you get full access to every feature with 10 hours of recording time. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing to hand over: just download, open, and start using it. Once you've used your 10 hours, you can still search, export, and summarise your existing meetings; you just can't start new recordings until you purchase a licence.

Purchasing and activating a licence

talat is a one-time purchase. When you buy, you'll receive a licence key by email. Enter it in talat's settings to activate. Your licence covers every future update and is valid on all your personal computers. If you've lost your licence key, email us at hello@talat.app with the email address you used to purchase and we'll get you sorted.

Refunds

Full refund within 30 days, no questions asked. Details on our refund policy page.

Privacy

Everything runs on your device: audio, transcripts, notes, summaries. Details on our privacy policy page.
