If talat captured a meeting in the wrong shape (two separate conversations recorded as one, or a single conversation split across two recordings by auto-stop), you can rearrange them after the fact without losing any audio or transcription.
Splitting one meeting in two
If talat recorded two separate conversations as a single meeting, you can split them after the fact. The meeting must have finished processing.
- Open the meeting.
- Right-click the first utterance of the second conversation.
- Choose “Split recording here” from the context menu.
- A confirmation banner appears showing the two halves (start time, end time, duration). Click Split to confirm.
The result is two separate meetings. Both keep their audio and can be re-summarised or re-exported independently.
Merging two meetings into one
If talat recorded a single conversation as two meetings (for example, auto-stop fired between rejoins), you can merge them. Both meetings must be ended, and their start/end times must be within four hours of each other.
- In the meeting list, right-click the meeting you want to merge.
- Choose “Merge with previous recording” or “Merge with next recording” from the context menu.
Both actions produce the same result: the later meeting is absorbed into the earlier one.
